my 3-year-old finally understand how this whole money thing works.
this evening on our ride home he said, “mom, can we go to the store.”
mama: no.
dutch: why not? you don’t have money?
mama: nope!
dutch: why do they always take your money?
mama: they who?
dutch: when you go get stuff, they take your money. is that why you don’t have any money?
sure is, son. sure is.
