culture kid: national children’s museum

if you’re as excited as i am about the new national children’s museum opening here in washington, dc then i’m sure you know you’ve got to hold onto that excitement until 2012 when the place actually opens.

sucks, i know.

but the national children’s museum is offering free, outdoor family-friendly programs at the national harbor’s american market.

oh, how i love a market and this one features up to 60 regional vendors selling all kinds of goodies from produce and pastries to crafts, artwork, fashion and jewelry.

anyhoo, every saturday through october 18, from 9am to 2pm, the museum is hosting a whole slew of entertaining, hands-on activities for kids and families. for more information on the museum’s schedule of events click here.
