a good girlfriend and i had an in-depth discussion about, what else…underwear. how often do you find yourself trying to find matching bras and panties? if you’re like me, probably not too often ’cause i mean, how important is that in the grand scheme of things? especially when you’re rushing to get dressed in the morning with a half-naked toddler yelling about how he wants to watch cars for the 1,258th time as he speeds by you pushing his wagon of super-sized lego blocks around the living room spilling them everydaggonewhere.

i mean, really…who’s think matching undies after all of that?

but that’s just me. you might be one of those extra fly chicks who needs to match not only on the outside, but underneath as well. well, i’d like to be one of those girls, but i’m sorry, it’s just too much work at this very moment. i mean, i’m working on getting there, but it’s about baby steps, people, baby steps.

which brings me to my girlfriend and her awesome idea!! now i can’t say that i actually put this plan into action (i’d be lying if i did), but it did make some sense. get this…

she only buys black undies.

now is that freakin’ genius or what?!

no more wondering what matches ’cause look…it all matches!!! black bras match black panties and black thongs…all day…all black. the styles all vary of course and why not, they’re all black. with an all black drawer you won’t ever worry about having to wear your cutesy pink lacy number on the bottom and your nude color oh-so-boring bra on top!!

now this wasn’t exactly the best plan for me because i like a little color going on in my drawer. you know, red one day, green the next, sprinkle a little orange in there…i like a little variety. but hey, this plan just might work for you and that’s why i’m spreading the knowledge and spreading the love.

you know, this is what having good girlfriends is all about. men just don’t get it.

1. no, this is the puurfect idea (pun intended lol)
   I buy mostly black and white for the same reason.
   When I think “outside” the box, I buy red …red/white, red/black. It’s freggin genius I tell ya.

2. but don’t you need some white bras too, to go under white shirts? Otherwise the subtext of the shirt says ‘BRA’.
   I go with black and white or offwhite for bras. The undies are another matter altogether. It’s a free for all, lol.
