you thought i was done with this floyd trip, right? WRONG!!! hahaha… i haven’t told you about the floyd fest yet!! so let me see…where did i leave off?? oh yeah, so we went to breakfast at the waffle house and then went to the floyd country store and then it was off to the fest. i asked my [...] on our second day in floyd it was time to make way to the floyd fest, but first we had to get our eat on and you can’t be down south without stopping at the waffle house. and you can’t be in the country and not eat a big bowl of grits. it just isn’t right [...] i mentioned the other day that i was planning a trip with my pop and “s” mom (aka stepmother) to floyd, virginia - my pop’s birthplace. here’s a little recap of our trip. first of all, my pop wasn’t exaggerating about floyd, virginia (the city, not the county) only being one street long. i thought that [...] this weekend i’ll be visiting a small little county in virginia called floyd. it’s where my pop was born. he’s told me that the town is so small you can see it all in five minutes, and that at one time they only had two stoplights and one year the town couldn’t afford to turn [...] i’m trying some new things here on my blog. if you’ve been following me for a while then you know i change up the look kinda often…because i get bored easily. be back soon… i don’t get all of the chatter on ‘net about the new dora aimed at tweens. i’m sorry, i just don’t. so this new dora’s got long hair and she’s wearing a tunic and leggings. that makes her now…skanky?? geez louise, people! isn’t there a greater cause out there to fight for? i read one blog post where [...] in honor of being 1/4 irish, i figured i’d share a couple clips from mobile, alabama where there have been numerous leprechaun sightings. enjoy! “gimme da gold” video |
