if there are two words that i just get plain ol’ tired of repeating to dutch it’s “stop running!” he can’t seem to just walk in around when we’re home, his feet are in constant quick motion. in the morning…”stop running!” in the evening…”stop running!” i was in the bathroom earlier and all i could hear was his [...] but it sure keeps things interesting around here. my 4-year-old son dutch recently looked up at my wedding picture and asked… “mama, why’d you choose him?” gotta love kids… it’s labor day and just a tad bit icky out so i figured, why not make burgers!! ever seen a cowboy make a burger? well now you have. (and notice it says, “chef dutchie” and not “future burger flipper” dutchie.) oh, what fun it was!! and no, we didn’t painfully take the time to shape little play-doh balls [...] dutch’s 4th birthday is this weekend and he has been talking about it for months. months. what he wants to do for his birthday, the party he wants to have, all the toys he needs and then there’s this new thing…pointing to every daggone number 4 he can find. in the mc’donald’s drive-thru: “mommy, see that [...] |
