then today i’m sitting here watching nick and the commercial comes on with the new moxie girlz dolls featured: lexa, sasha, avery and sophina and yeah, they’re kinda cute.
now granted they aren’t quite as fly as the bratz dolls. i should know, i own one. and i only bought one because i was really blown that we didn’t have such a sassy doll like that when i was a kid so i decided to make up for lost dolls.
but it’s okay that the moxie girlz aren’t as fabulous because they’ve got moxie…and you know, i’m all about that. i’m just wondering why these folks didn’t think to send me one.
i mean, like, duhhhhhhhhh!

oh, what fun it was!! and no, we didn’t painfully take the time to shape little play-doh balls into hamburger-like shapes. i really don’t have that kind of patience. so instead, we used this:
it’s the play-doh burger builder (for kids ages 3 and up) and we had so much fun playing with it. actually, i think i had more fun than was expected of a parent.
mama: no, dutch!! you’re smooshing the tomatoes!! now we have to make them again. hand me the red.
yes, this was serious business for me.
but of course dutch had a good time too molding all of the little burger pieces together and he used the twist-a-chip tool to crank out the fries. mmmmmm…mmmmmmm…yummy!
i told you i really got into this making a burger thing.

because after all, he’s my baby and he’s growing up too daggone fast. soon he’ll be off to college and dating some chick that he wants to marry…one that i probably won’t like.
i asked him this morning if he could slow this growing up thing down a bit and he said he would.

big tigger’s 3rd annual hiv/aids ride for life teams up with rfk stadium and six flags america for the ride’s kick-off and grand finale event on sunday, august 23, 2009. over 2,500 bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts are expected to gather at rfk.
in other words, if you’re a biker, be there or be square.
big tigger will lead the convoy of riders on the designated route to six flags america in upper marlboro, maryland. this event hopes to raise community awareness of hiv/aids.
ride for life will begin at 8am in lots 6 and 7 at rfk, this year six flags america joins the partnership and will host the grand finale event which will include presentation, cookout and full day of fun for the entire family. riders are expected to arrive at six flags america around 1pm and enjoy a private cookout, ride for life vendors, and an afternoon of music and entertainment.
to participate in this year’s event, riders may pre-register online at street corner foundation, big tigger’s site or at wpgc’s site. the registration fee of $30 includes the ride, the grand finale event and cookout and six flags america.
