check out this awesome video of kindred the family soul performing at rams head in annapolis, maryland shot by my buddy eric elston of artlife studios.
musiq :: yes
musiq shot a video for my absolute favorite song “yes” from his cd musiqinthemagiq. and woowee, this video had me teary eyed!! it’s such a beautiful song lyrically anyway and the imagery is so touching. the video is a tribute to women who have lost their battle with breast cancer, and it features breast cancer survivors from the metro atlanta area. the soul singer recently announced his new role as an ambassador for susan g. komen for the cure, circle of promise, a movement designed to further engage black women around the globe in the fight against breast cancer.
“early detection is the key to winning the fight against breast cancer,” musiq said. “too often, black women are diagnosed in stage three and four when breast cancer is most difficult to treat. some women are afraid to seek treatment for fear of losing their breasts or their hair. one’s physical appearance is much less important than the will to live. it’s time to remove the stigmas that are attached to this disease.”
lalah hathaway :: if you want to
ms. lalah hathaway is one my favorite songstresses! her voice is so rich and pure and can i just say i can’t wait for where it all begins to drop on october 18th?!
